Although it was fun, I managed to erase important things on accident and it changed the picture a little...i feel like I failed but overall it looks good, right?? :duh:

Edit: I fixed the coat's collar and tails...cause they bothered me. I also fixed HER left shoulder to look more even with the other. XD Haha I kept looking back and finding all these thiiings.

Mmmm. Yeah. This is for the theme. Really I didn't know where I was going with this and then I figured it'd look cool with shadowy firey stuff. So yes! That and I was listening to Ludo and "Love me Dead" came on...I dunno if that fueled this or not. D: I like that song.

I had such a difficult time getting the body to look right. I know it isn't perfect...but it'd be a pain in the ass to go back and fix anything on her body. I may push the jacket tails in a bit. I wanted them to look like stiff spikes or something...hmmmm. XD

Enjoy the eye burning red! She'll make your visit in hell pleasurable...to her.

spfx, certain things are meant to be read and analyzed. there is a point where it becomes illegitamate, but what are camus novels without analyzation, or kafkas
It's all about understanding the actual depth that something has, and I feel like I'm missing why you're even mentioning that in the first place

anyways, this is nice. the coloring really works, and I enjoy the neck area a lot. I wish the face was a little more detailed feature wise, because it seems a little lacking compared to the body. Alternately, I think it would look kind of cool if there was no face. The way the arm is cut off really make the composition. kudos to you

I don't think the hair is 'wrong'. If she's laying down then it could be split like that. It just looks strange. The eye is like just...drawn to that black patch. XD

I love the simple shading here. It looks so soft and pretty. Definitely not how I picture Jessica. This version is much better. ;] Gorgeous work here.

I think the hair is fine. the facial and neck anatomy are also fantastic, the torso area is a little funny, the breasts are a bit too high, and don't fall with gravity.

the face is breathtaking though, and the softness is really, really nice

The thumbnails should be exactly the same as they were before tbh, so i dont know what that could be about.

Umm, well, collar bones dont go all the way to the end of the shoulder, they go up and around the neck more. So the one on our left should be going more backward - probably.

I'm no shoulder expert though. XD

you're just treating the collarbones incorrectly. they are little round bones that are curved and connect before the shoulder

But ANYWAYS. Aside from that stupidity. This is...very interesting. It's hard to criticize a piece that is obviously supposed to be abstracted and what-not. Unless of course...you don't see it as abstracted, then there would be lots of crits. XD

I actually just drew some Sailor Moon fan art a few days ago. I haven't drawn fan art for like three years. D: *wonders if she should color them*

Yeah, I think the hairline is too low. And you already pointed out the boobage crisis. XD

Other than that, the only other thing I see is the right arm (her right) is too skiny compared to the other one. It looks like the sweater should be more baggy like her left arm.

Otherwise, I really like this. The background is pretty interesting. Reminds me of a city skyscraper or something...

Edit: I think I fixed the collar bones. As for the lips...I can't really make them look better. XD

I screwed my layers up so badly. Okay. So usually I put my lines on layer 1 right? Well I went to layer 0 to check what they looked like by making that layer invisible. Well, I forgot to change layers and ended up doing the hair on layer 0, while the rest was layer 1. I got annoyed. I didn't want to do it OVER again. So I didn't. Which ended up screwing my coloring strategy horribly, since I put my colors on layer 1 with the lines using mask and the background on layer 0.

But alas...it worked out SOMEHOW. I haven't been oekaking a lot...I dunno. Whenever I tried something I wanted to shoot myself at how ugly it turned out. I tried doing shi painter...yeah...it made me want to eat babies.

Hopefully this suits your tastes. Boobies and all. I love those things.

And if you know what's good for you. You'll full view.

collar bone problem: i really don't think her collarbone would extend that far on the other side, but your deal is exaggerated collarbones (from what i've gathered).
also, lips seem a little off. but that's getting hella picky.

I'm not sure about the collar bone thing either, who knows. I find most anatomy critting hard as i do it completely wrong myself. When other people do things weird i have problems telling between stylistic choices and mistakes. Hmm. Can't really fault this though, I like the effect of having shading on her but 1 tone clothing, tis good.

And yes, boobs are good.

This looks really nice! The ONLY things that bother me are the guy's eye and the green tones.

I think the eye is too low. It should be a bit higher and tilted a bit more like the girl's. If that makes sense...if not I can do a draw-over...

As for the tones. I don't mean the tone as in color, but using the tone tool. It's just so...random. You've got all this wonderful delicious painting and then BAM tone...it's so out of place. Maybe go back and smooth it out to make it flow better. It'd make it so much more amazing. :]

And by the way. I love how much you've gotten better...I remember the days of your abnormally large eyes...XDD

Archived is where we keep a couple of the nicest examples of some of the artists who've grabbed our attention..

Generally speaking we're reaallly bad at keeping them even slightly up to date though. Generally if its made one of the admin think OMG there's a high chance of archival..

Then the only problem comes when people are so consistently good that you don't know which of their work to archive and which not to.

Mine too. Like the chunky linework/lack of linework in some areas. Mixing airbrush/watercolor/smudgy brush and pencil like that is risky but it looks nice applied to weather effects.
